2026 Donation Bins Open May 7 - June 30

The 2026 Dump & Run Ithaca will be accepting donations of quality used household goods and clothing from May 7 through June 30.

Items Accepted

Clothing & shoes

Furniture & organizational units

Computers, laptops

Working appliances & electronics

Household items such as dishes, clothing hangers, cleaning products, etc.

Decorations & toys

Sporting goods

New toiletries

Books & textbooks

Nonperishable food

Bicycles

We CANNOT Accept

Printers

Mattresses or foam mattress pads

Pillows

Clothes with stains or holes

Undergarments

Broken appliances

Trash

Opened packaged food

Where & How To Donate

Many Cornell buildings have on-campus drop-off locations available. See the list of donation bin locations here .

In person drop-off of donations accepted at our storefront in The Shops at Ithaca Mall . We're open Tuesday - Saturday from 9 am - 3 pm.

For larger items of furniture, off-campus pick-ups are available starting May 6 . Three days' notice is need for off campus pick-up. To schedule a pick-up or if you have any questions, please email info@copskidsandtoys.org .

For on-campus pick-ups , email dumpandrun@cornell.edu . Building Care will answer your email.

Donations Bins are open from May 8-30. Many Cornell buildings have on-campus drop-off locations available. See the list of donation bin locations here .

On-site donations also accepted at our storefront in the Shops at Ithaca Mall.

2025 Dump & Run Volunteers Needed

Volunteer for Dump & Run Ithaca, and get access to the pre-sale event!

Dump & Run Ithaca would not be possible without the hundreds of hours contributed by our dedicated volunteer team. Volunteers sort, clean, organize and display merchandise, as well as run the sale.

Dump & Run volunteers who work 20 or more hours are invited to attend a pre-sale event. However, you should join us for the fun experience working with other great volunteers, all for a good cause! Incoming students get to buy good quality merchandise at an affordable price, and proceeds from the Dump & Run sale support the work of Cops, Kids & Toys in providing holiday gifts for kids in need.

Since this is a community charity project, we regret that individuals who resell merchandise as a business cannot be volunteers.
